Professor Sang Bin and EECS lab students (Seungmin, Sungwoo, and Changhoon) attended SDEMPED 2025 in Dallas, Texas, USA, where we presented three papers.

Sungwoo and Seungmin were honored with the Prize Paper Award for the paper titled, "Thyristor Rectifier-Embedded Identification of Field Winding, Damper Bar, and Eccentricity Faults in Wound Field Synchronous Machines" and "Evaluations of the Applicability of Frequency Response Analysis to Rotating Electric Machines." Congratulations!

Byamba was honored with the 2024 IEEE IAS Transactions on Industry Applications First Prize Paper Award for the paper titled, "Automated Identification of Failures in Doubly-Fed Induction Generators for Wind Turbine Applications." Congratulations!

Byamba presented his paper titled "Vibration-Based Identification of Mechanical Defects in Induction Motor-driven Systems During the Starting Transient."
